Hugh appeared in the 6-part satirical radio serial In the Chair, also starring Michael Williams and Richard Griffiths. The Independent on Sunday said, "Hugh Laurie is superb as a guitar-playing prime minister (call me Kenny) desperate to be loved." This program also featured Stephen Fry reprising his role from In the Red as a deputy controller of Radio 4.
