Hugh and Geena Davis played the parents of a mouse in Stuart Little,
the film adaptation of E.B. White's children's classic, released in
2000. It was one of Hugh's bigger box office successes, but the part
was small, and perhaps most notable for his use of an American accent.
(Hugh described the part as a pair of ankles and feet.) Michael J. Fox
voiced Stuart, with Nathan Lane as the family cat.
In 2002, Hugh and Geena reprised their roles in a sequel. It
was a
rare case of a sequel being better-received than the original, though
the humans again took a back seat to the effects.
